The noise comes from the motor, not the air

Ordinary fans use carbon brushes that scrape against the rotor and create a buzzing overtone. Our brushless motor is controlled electronically with no mechanical contact, so the only thing you hear is air, 20-30 dB.

Where should I place it? Hang it above or within a couple of metres of your bed. This is a fan for personal airflow, not to cool a whole room. Placement decides the experience more than the speed setting.

How long does the battery last? Over 10 hours on low with the light off, which covers a normal night. On the highest setting and with the light on it goes considerably faster. Charge via USB-C from a power bank, car or wall socket.

How loud is it? On low it's around 20-30 dB, roughly like a faint rush of air. The brushless motor has no carbon brushes, which is what creates the buzz in cheaper fans. Many find the sound like white noise rather than disturbing.

Can I turn off the light? Yes. Fan and lighting are controlled independently via the button or the remote. Light glowing in a dark tent is a common annoyance, so the light can be switched off completely while the fan keeps running.
