The weeds keep coming back. And your back has had enough.

You weed, you bend, you tear off the top - and a few days later the dandelion is back. The root stayed put. What you've tried so far doesn't solve both problems: you strain your body and the weeds grow back anyway.

Pulling by hand

You only tear off the top, and you're on your knees with your back and knees taking the strain.

Chemical spray

Feels wrong where there are children, pets and crops - and the root lives on.

Fork or knife

Gets some of the weed up, but takes too much effort and strains the joints.

Our RotRyck Pro solves both: you stand upright, press the claws down around the root and pull the whole weed up with your body weight, completely chemical-free.

Weed standing up and get the whole root out

Place, press, pull. Your body weight does the work instead of your back, knees and hands, and the powerful claws grip around the root so the weed doesn't grow back as quickly.

  • Weed standing up - no bending or kneeling
  • The claws grip the root, less regrowth
  • Completely chemical-free, safe for children and pets
  • Sturdy metal build, made for several seasons
  • For anyone who wants to keep tending the garden themselves

Everything that makes the weed let go and spares your body

Four powerful claws

The claws close around the root as you press them down, so the whole weed comes up instead of the top tearing off.

Pressed down with your foot

You use your body weight instead of fingers and wrists. No kneeling, no force from the joints.

No chemicals

Mechanical weeding with no spray. Safe where the grandchildren play and the dog walks, with no long-term harm to the soil.

Sturdy metal build

Robust steel built to be pressed down again and again. Lasts for many gardening seasons without giving way.

Best on rooted weeds in soil, lawn and border

RotRyck Pro is made for dandelions, thistles and other rooted weeds, where you want to stand up and still get the root. It works best in soil, lawn and border, and best of all when the ground is damp after rain or watering. Less suited to cracks, between paving slabs and on stony surfaces, where another tool is needed.

  • Best for: Dandelion, thistle, rooted weeds
  • Surface: Soil, lawn, border
  • Working position: Standing
  • Material: Steel
  • Included: Gripping head + mounting bracket
  • Handle: Not included, fits standard wooden handles

It's the leverage and the grip around the root that do the work

Weeds come back when the root stays put, and your body takes a beating when you do the job by hand. RotRyck Pro turns both of those around.

The claws close around the root

As you press the tool down around the weed, the four claws push into the soil and close around the root, not just around the leaves. That's why the whole root comes up.

The lever lifts for you

You angle the handle backwards and let the lever lift the weed out of the soil. The force comes from body weight and leverage, not from fingers, wrists or knees.

The whole root means less regrowth

Tap roots on dandelion and thistle can run deep. Take off only the top and the weed grows back within days. With the root out, it takes a good deal longer to return.

Steel that stands up to being pressed down, season after season

RotRyck Pro versus what you do today

My knees thank me every time. I stand up straight, press down, and the whole dandelion comes up with it. Wish I'd found it years ago.

How it compares

RotRyck Pro Pulling by hand Chemical spray
Weed fully upright
Gets the whole root up
Gentle on back, knees & hands
Completely chemical free
Less regrowth

Place, press, pull - in a few seconds

Fit it to your handle

Attach the gripping head to an ordinary wooden handle of a suitable size with the included bracket. The handle isn't included, but you probably already have one in the shed.

Place and press

Set the claws over the weed and press them into the soil with your foot so they close around the root.

Angle and pull up

Lean the handle back and pull up. The whole root comes with it, without you bending over or kneeling.

What you're wondering before you order

Do I have to bend down? No. RotRyck Pro is made so you can weed standing up. You press the claws down with your foot and pull up with the handle, so your back, knees and hands are spared.

Is a handle included? No, you get the gripping head and the mounting bracket. It fits most ordinary wooden handles of a suitable size, the same type found on brooms and garden tools. That means you reuse a handle you probably already own, and only pay for the part that does the work.

Does it work on dandelions and thistles? Yes. It's especially good on dandelion, thistle and other rooted weeds. The claws grip around the root so the whole weed can be pulled up, which means less regrowth than simply tearing off the top.

Where does it work best? Best in soil, lawn and border, and best of all when the ground is damp. It's less suited to cracks, between slabs and on stony surfaces, where a narrower tool is needed.

Does it leave holes in the lawn? Because you pull the root up, a small hole forms. Use the tool in damp soil, centre the claws around the root and press the soil back down afterwards, and the marks are minimal and the grass soon grows back.

Try it at home for 365 days

We're confident you'll love it, just like our many customers. Fit it to your handle, take it out into the garden and feel for yourself the difference between tearing off the top and getting the whole root out, standing up.

If it still isn't right for you, simply send it back and get all your money back. No awkward process, no hidden conditions. If anything's wrong, we'll send a new one.

The only thing you risk is carrying on bending over for weeds that come back anyway.
